Budget for
the service.
Rolex publishes Australian complete-service prices by model family. The watch still needs an assessment: the final work and any additional parts depend on its condition.
Published Australian prices
Checked on 26 October 2026: for modern six-digit references, Rolex lists AU$1,100 for the group that includes Datejust, Day-Date and Explorer; AU$1,300 for the group that includes Submariner and GMT-Master II; and AU$1,550 for the group that includes Cosmograph Daytona and Sky-Dweller. Five-digit and vintage references have different prices. These are manufacturer service figures, separate from our asking-price data.
Use Rolex’s current pricing page for the full model list, applicable conditions and updates. A published service figure is not a quote for your individual watch.
Get a written estimate
Rolex describes an inspection followed by an estimate. Servicing begins after that estimate is approved. Ask for the total cost and a breakdown of any additional parts before authorising work.
Ask how the workshop will handle the dial, hands, bezel, bracelet and case finish. Put your preferences in writing, particularly when you want to preserve the existing finish or discuss proposed replacement parts first.
Check what the result includes
Rolex’s described process covers movement servicing and testing, including a water-resistance test. It states that the completed service carries a two-year service guarantee for replacement parts and labour.
For an independent workshop, ask directly what its quote covers, which parts it uses, what testing it performs and what guarantee applies. Our guide does not rank or recommend a workshop.
Keep service cost separate from resale
A service invoice can document work performed. It does not establish how much a buyer will pay. Our asking-price samples are not adjusted by a fixed service allowance. Compare the exact reference and disclose the actual service history when preparing an enquiry.
